George Washington Ball, a distant cousin of our first president, built this Federal style house in about 1822 making it one of the largest homes in “Old Town”. Located in the oldest neighborhood in Vicksburg and listed in the National Register of Historic Places, the home was unrecognizable and its history untold for nearly a century until it was fully restored in 2004. It features a two-story veranda, walled garden, parlor, library, kitchen and the original slave quarters. A brief history of slavery may be included upon request with a complimentary tour of the home. Guests enjoy a complimentary continental breakfast served each morning.
